With doorstep delivery to more than 40,000 zip codes, our full-service options address social determinants of health in areas impacted by food apartheid.

Misfits Market is a nationwide online grocer whose mission is to reduce food waste and make shopping for sustainable, high-quality groceries easier and more affordable. We’ve saved more than 210 million pounds of food from waste or lesser outcomes to date and we’ve committed to certifying all of our facilities as TRUE Zero Waste Certified by the end of 2025. In select areas, we operate our own delivery fleet that helps us cut CO2 emissions with more efficient deliveries. We’re also the only national online grocer with a free packaging return program, and we’ve collected more than 10 million pounds of packaging for reuse or recycling. In 2023, Misfits Market donated more than 6 million pounds of food to 60+ food bank and pantry partners as well as 1.5 million meals to Feeding America ($1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks).
Our grocery boxes are fully customizable from among our 800+ grocery items. We can also create bundles that are aimed at a certain price point or type of grocery benefit.
We’re able to support benefits providers, NGOs, telehealth and telenutrition companies, accountable care organizations, and other wellness organizations as a grocery provider.
We can offer specialized boxes to provide nutrition for patients experiencing a variety of chronic conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, hypertension/high blood pressure, or pregnancy.
This is most typically a collaborative process. We’re happy to create a bundle based on the requirements you provide us, or work together more closely to align on the offering. We’re happy to create multiple bundles to meet various dietary needs within a single program. We can create variations on a bundle to accommodate specific dietary needs (i.e., gluten-free, dairy-free).
We’re happy to work with you to customize and custom-order products which are necessary to support your program. However, additional lead time for ordering, and order volume commitments may be required to procure items specifically for your needs.
For curated bundles created from Misfits Market’s own inventory, we do not require volume commitments for orders. We do ask for volume estimations which help from an inventory and production planning standpoint.
Any orders shipped will be invoiced to you on a monthly basis.
The length of time for integration will vary based on the scope of work required. However, a rough estimate is between 4-6 weeks in most cases.
We’re happy to work with you to create boxes which will support a variety of recipes. However, it’s easier if we’re involved in the process from the beginning as many recipes often call for highly specific, specialized ingredients.
